Today has been a really eye opening day for me......
I have never really had 10fps to play with until today, it's certainly given me a real buzz again.

The crux of the post is this, My second body today was a 5d2...albeit a great camera, It certainly isnt for fast sports shooting.

Now having being spoilt with the high fps, I want another high frame rate body as a second body...for either 135mm or for the 70-200mm

I need a bit of advice on this matter.

Points that I am pondering over are:-

1. Body has to have High fps
2. I dont really want another type of battery and charger to lug around with me.
3. I want a body that is both accurate in exposure and also has good reliabillity.
4. Crop factor is important as I use a 135mm, 70-200mm,300mm and 300mm plus 1.4TC
5. Cost....Second user is prefereed as Im probably going to stick a load of actuations on it... so second user will mean I dont loose too much on a body with high actuations.
6. Budget --- Up to £1200

I think that just about sums up my thoughts and requirements...

Which body ?

It's gotta be a 1dMKII at £750ish (Great Camera from experience) Or a MarkIII If you can get lucky at £1200. Mark II is 9 fps Mark III is 10 fps

Keep your eyes open and wait for a Mk3. Dont bother with a MK2 as it is two generations below the MK4 you have just got and you'll just be dissapointed with it.

MKIII to go with your MKIV, I think the MKII or N would be to great a gap between your bodies, I found that between my MKIII and MKIIN at high ISO.
MKIII's are coming down to that price on the 2nd market

as above.. my second camera is a mkIII .. same battery is a bonus..

BUT I totally messed up big time last week when i arrived at basketball with a mkIII when i thought it was the mkIV :( i hadnt gotten around to calibrating the 85mm f1.8 lens to it either :(

I wasn't aware that the MK3 has the same batteries...Well its a simple choice now then....lol..

Just need to wait for a relatively low actuation model to come along with a £1200 price tag.

Cheers guys...:naughty::naughty:

unlike the mk1 and mkII you cant check for actuations unless you send to canon :(
