affordable lighting for car shoots

Hi all

I'm looking for advice to move on with my car lighting techniques. I'm on a budget of perhaps a few hundred pounds - I'll post a couple of photos so you can see what sort of shots I do but I'm basically looking to move on from torches as I want something more powerful with less hot spots!
I saw a YouTube clip of an alien bees strobe which appealed to me but I see it a US product only. I posted on the lighting section here and someone suggested on my budget speedlights would be better. I've just come across this transport thread and thought what better a place to ask I'm open to all your suggestions and please mention products names etc as I don't know where to begin and don't want to waste money on a product that won't work.

The good old yongnuo flash could be a good start!

As I said in the other post I would also recommend the Yongnuo. £40 for one with a radio trigger built in. You could have three, a transmitter and stands for £150 if you shop carefully.

Thanks xray - after seeing reinisb post earlier I looked at those and was pleased.to see how cheap they were and also to read such good reviews. I held off as wasn't sure about compatibility but you have answered that for me now in my other post I've ordered that video light suggested and will carry on light painting and then put some pennies aside to buy a few of these y... Flashes and some stands. The built in triggers - how do I synch all 3 with my camera? And which model y... Should I be looking for?

Go for a 560 III flash with a 560-TX transmitter. £150 for three flashes and a transmitter and it should all just link up without any real setup required. The 560-TX allows control of the flash output remotely on those flashes only but saves walking back and forward.
