Yes, it is a free update.

Serif has produced a cool piece of software in Affinity
but as money makers, I admit that their formulation or
presentation is rather questionable.

Incidentally, nice that they now have proper font support for imported PDFs in Photo and Designer. I'm probably the only person here who cares about this, but it was actually the last thing I still needed CS6 for at work.
