Agreed, I only upgraded as I needed the 3 program package.
V1 works.
This deal is good for fresh starters :)
 
Must admit that my Version 1 was fine for what I wanted but this Flash sale I looked again and have bitten the bullet and upgraded the suite, it is so much quicker, especially start up, and more efficient at handling images, this is on a Mac M2 machine. Only started playing with it and need to explore more of 'Whats New"

Is it another 'learning curve' just to get going?

No I don't think so, the icons are a little different but they appear to be laid out the same as V1.
The only thing that has made my head scratch a little is when you do a Create New, the model for that seems to have way more options but other than that it seems fairly similar.
 
I had v1 on a computer that is now defunct, but was able to open up my existing Affinity account so got the full v2 set of software for an upgrade price of £59.99. Happy to do so as I do find it easier to use than LR/PS, and I'm finding the latter rather a pain these days. so I think I'll stick until my pre-bought subscriptions run out in a couple of years time, but will gradually migrate to Affinity, and work out an alternative DAM approach using suggestions in previous threads on the subject.
