I have a couple of questions about checking the AF of a couple of lenses.
I am away next weekend and have the option of borrowing a D850 that I want to use with my Sigma 500 F4. I had the lens calibrated for me to my D500 and had to dial in +10, so I want to make sure that the D850 is calibrated as I know that camera doesn't take any prisoners.
I have the chart, the ruler thing and I know that it has to be on the same plane etc, but what is confusing me is the amount of different recommendations for the distance from the target, Reikan Focal says a minimum of 10m, some say 25x focal length or even 50x focal length.
Should I just choose a distance somewhere in this range and be done with it?
Thanks in advance for any help
