Adwords landing page

I'm thinking of using adwords to generate more enquiries.

I have most of the actual adwords campaign set up ok with negative keywords etc.

I've been reading a lot about using a dedicated landing page, with differing advice about what to include on the page.

Does anyone have an opinion on what should/shouldn't be included on a landing page?

I know SEO is the better option but, this aside, any suggestions?

For me what worked was a less subtle page. It was more in your face then normal. Adwords customers are fickle so getting the message over quickly is important.

I know it's paid advertising Hugh, that's why I want to get it right from the outset.
