Hi everyone,

Tomorrow I have been asked to visit 10 bathroom installations that my company has fitted for a showroom we are involved with.

Some are small, some are big but all of them have one window allowing a small amount of natural light as well as spotlights.

I will be doing this between 8am and 12pm so it will be light.

Just after some shooting techniques and also what settings best to shoot on. I am new to this and will be using a Nikon D90.

Thanks for any help you can give!!!

Well your experience probably far out weighs mine, but i'll offer my thoughts anyway.

Seeing as the light is already determined for you, its all left to composition and exposure. Bathrooms i would of though would benefit being exposed to the right. So its nice and bright and looks clean and fresh. But then low key would look good too for that candle lit, relaxing-with-a-glass-of-merlot look.

I think white balance always makes a big difference to interiors. You dont want it looking orange, but then perfect white balance isnt always the best look either. You've got mixed light sources too, so you'll have to be carefull how you set the white balance (but then you'll probably shoot in raw anyway right?).

Wide angle lenses will be a must, but taking a nifty fifty or similar would be good to have too, for details like fittings etc.

low ISO, for wide shots - get everything sharp, for details - some bokeh wont hurt.

I really feel like im teaching you to suck eggs though, you do this for a living, ive had a camera about 6 weeks.:gag:

I guess you will need a wide lens to get everything in shot in tight spaces and probably wider than the kit 18mm.
