Advise - Elinchrom D-Lite 4

Hi
I have an Elinchrom d-lite 2 and 4 IT which both fire off my normal Elinchrom skyport transmitter Eco. I recently bought an Elinchrom D-Lite 4 (non IT) and I'm struggling to get it to fire with the skyport transmitter. Can anyone advise what I need to do to make it fire with the others?

It's giving you problems because the non-IT version does not include a Skyport receiver, you would need a IT or RX head for that (IT actually stands for Intelligent Trigger). Worry not though as you simply need to use the IR sensor to trigger the head instead.

In a normal environment the most common approach is to use a radio to trigger one head and the flash from that head then triggers any others in range, it's not a perfect solution as it won't work over a large distance or in harsh conditions like strong sunlight.

To enable the IR sensor simply press the button with an Eyeball and a small led should come on, then when you fire a flash (or anything that sends an IR signal) that head should also fire.

If you bought the earliest D-lite model it won't have a fan in it so be careful not to leave the modelling light on constantly.

Thanks Simon. The unit is just for a background light so don't need the modelling light on.

So just press the little eye thing for the led light to come on and then when the other flash heads go off it will trigger the d-lite 4.

I have d-lite it's as my other flash lights
