Hi could anyone help me i have got a Canon 5D and photoshop elements 6 but im not sure how to convert a Raw file any advice would be nice thanks

Should just be a case of opening them from within PSE6?

I think it ships with Adobe Camera Raw 4.2 and in which case, .CR2 files from a 5D should work without a problem?
