Hi all,

I am lucky enough to be travelling to Las Vegas for a week next month.

I will be taking my camera and as a novice photographer I am looking for advice from anyone who has been there with a camera.

I use a canon eos 40d and I wont to know what lenses and equipment people would recommend I take. I want to travel light but I still want everything I'm going to need.

I would also like recommendations on what locations to try and shoot and where from.

thanks

Went to LV in March. I took a 20d with a 17-70mm. Great for shooting most things on The Strip and from the top of the Stratosphere. I didn't take any longer telephotos and wish I had taken at least a 200mm. If you are into night photography there are loads of opportunities as everything is lit up but you would need a tripod of some sort. Quite a few photographers out there when I was there.

If you're looking for the cheapest desert shots try a visit to Red Rock Canyon, its about 30 miles from the strip and has a lot of photo opportunities. Plus you can take a cycle tour around it.

Just a few pics.
