Advice on First Flash Gun for my Olympus E-420

I've not heard of that one but good luck in your search.

I'd like to get hold of a Flash gun for the same model camera but the price for any of the big brands makes it quite prohibitive at this time.

I'm starting to wish that I had purchased a Canon or Nikon as oppose to my Oly as although I think it's a great camera the number of accessories available is very low.

I recently bought a T32 (designed for om system)to use on my olympus E330 as a bounce head for triggering studio lights and it seems to be OK. I just use it on manual . Be very careful to turn off when putting on and off camera . The only problem I have had is that the locking nut is hard to undo when removing from the hotshoe but does need to be done up. I have used it as a flash a few times and it works fine though it needs a bit of experimenting with settings.
 
I was just about to post the very same question.

Have you purchased one yet? What do you think? It is for an amateur who doesn't need an all singing all dancing flash.
