Right my hubby and i took some pic's of a rugby match between our son's school and a team from canada. didn't have time to sort them and get them to a dvd before the lad we were hosting left. (less than 12 hours including sleep time).

Well his mum has asked me for copies i.e prints which she wants to pay for and i am not having that as her lad was a joy to have..anyway it is the posting issue..

which would be cheaper email (but at a good res) or ?????

or am i missing something..

FTP would be better if there are a lot of them.

Could you not put them into RAR files & then host them using a file host
like Rapidshare or similar?

You can always delete the files when the receiver has confirmed receipt.
 
ok i should expline i am as thick as an hae no idea what that means but thank you.. (yv) knows me and she will tell you i am ....
 
Rapidshare is a file sharing website, you upload a file (say a folder of photos) and it will give ayou a link which you e.mail to your friend, they then click the link and it takes them to the file, they can then download the file and get the photos.
FTP is a means of transfering files, this has to be set up first but once up and running you just drag and drop files from a folder on your computer, to a folder on their computer.
WinRar or Winzip are a means of making files smaller, it compresses the file (photos/films anything)making it easier and quicker to transfer.
 
Think there's some wires crossed there - RAR (like Zip) is lossless, which means it will spit out *exactly* what went in - it's compressing to JPGs and other lossy image formats that can reduce the quality.
