Advice needed. How do I mount the 80-200mm AF on a tripod?

Hi all,

After seeing some great reviews online of the lens, i decided to get myself one. However, i forgot to consider its weight and the fact that a tripod is advisable especially while zoomed in.

Can any of you suggest a way to mount this lens and my camera (nikon d750).

they seem to all list the af-s variant of the lens which is newer. I think i saw a comment somewhere stating that the mounts for af and af-s are different.
 
The 80-200 f2.8 already has a tripod foot on a rotating collar fitted , at least mine does?
Oh, and the AF-S isn't necessarily newer. They stopped making the afs in 2004. but they still make the 80-200 AFAIK.
