Hard to tell which of these ads is boiling my p!ss more at the moment - certainly all have me grabbing for the remote ...
Picture The Loan :gag: - "Josh! Dads found your scooter" :gag: (borrow 25K repay 43K bargain )
Halifax :gag: - Latest singing effort with some zero with the voice of an angle (grinder) :gag:
Injury Lawyers 4U :gag: - Harsh scary woman who shouts at you (probably the other half of Barry Scott from the Cilit Bang ads!) :gag:
Did I miss any? Lets hear yours ... Paul ;)

Sheila's Wheels car insurance - Women get cheaper insurance than us cos they're supposedly safer drivers, then 3 of 'em sit in the back of a car, wailing like banshees and let a ****ing DOG drive! Yeah, real safe that!

Bet the dog isn't even a named driver.

I don't end up seeing many adverts. Don't really watch all that much TV live - its all recorded on sky+ and when we get around to watching it the adverts whizz by at 30x speed weeeeeeeeeeee.

But all of those debt consolidation loans ads are annoying, I hate Barry Stott. I don't like the stupid car transformer adverts either.

My fave adverts at the moment are the car ones where she crashes his model plane after he uses his foot to close her car door and the new one where she does something to him (can't remember I've only seen it once) after he brushes crumbs off himself in her car.

Kia advert... how where how when how where when how...SHUT UP!!!!! :bang:

Yeah and on the earlier adverts they even had the background going the wrong way, so not only didnt they have their hands on the steering wheel they were moving backwards while singing hopelessly ! ;)

Any of the ambulance chasing adverts boil my wii in fact there arent many ads i find entertaining nowadays, the Sony Bravia ones have been novel, the skoda ads are annoying

but i guess we all know what they are about so they did the job intended, got the company names/products in our heads, even Barry effing Scott !

Im like Matt, dont watch much tv & when I do its pre-recorded.
Also with Matt on the model plane ad ... Toyota I think ... its pretty cool. :D
Everything else just fries my noodle!

The Picture loans advert I hate is the "Looks like rain/football one. Why on earth is the woman videoing her husband on the phone. I dont like the Toyota Yaris advert, probably because I don't like the cars.
There is probably more, just can't think of them.

I agree to a point but it doesn't make me want to rush out and buy any of the products - quite the opposite in my case but I am at that "revolting" stage according to wifey
Paul ;)

Diamond insurance ones bug me  , plus most of the ones posted above

I couldn't care less about the car, it just tickles me ;)

The picture it loans advert - they just bought that camcorder when they couldn't really afford it so now they are ringing up for a loan to pay off all of their full credit cards instead of curbing their spending.

Off topic I know but, on the subject of car insurance, as we live in a society where we are not supposed to be prejudiced, how can Women be given more favourable rates over men. What happened to sex equality. This really gets on my nerves, surely we should be insured on our own record not the masses in general.

Admiral Insurance where that diddy is dressed up like Lord Nelson with a parrot.

Injury Lawyers 4U :gag: - Harsh scary woman who shouts at you (probably the other half of Barry Scott from the Cilit Bang ads!) :gag:

I noticed her as well. It's almost as if she's trying too hard to be serious, and in the end comes across slightly serial killer-ish!

BitTorrent is your friend.

I hate all cheezy patronising adds that treat you like you got no BRAIN!!! and that STUPID Barry 'I can only shout'Scott, what is that all about???? I refuse to buy anything where the add p#*%@s me off ! :annoyed: :shake: :bat:

Ah, thats better, Cheers PaulBoy, I feel so much better for sharing that!!! :D

Elephant Insurance... I just don't get it!

Oh and the other Yaris Commercial Matt the girl plants a pair of panties in a guys coat so he gets stopped by store guards.

The one that sticks in my mind at the mo is that new one with horses eating cereal bars (nutrigrain  ), don't know why but I hate that ad - its just soooooooooo stupid.
Like the girl flying plane / Yaris one, plus the giant cadburys cream eggs

The one advert I really hate is the one where the woman says she had cancer and is now cured because she`s in a certain health plan.

Dumbest so far - Admiral

Some anti-wringle stuff that you (for which read "women") slather all over your fizzog in the vain hope of looking forever young. The advert actually says "this isn't surgery".

No? Really? Because I often confuse gloop in a tub with a complex medical procedure requiring surgeons, anesthetists, scalpels etc.

And while I'm on the subject of FVPs (feminine vanity products), all these ones that state 92% of women agree (and then say in very small letters at the bottom of the screen somthing like 96 people surveyed - one I've seen even has a sample size of 52). How scientific is that?!?

Not only is the sample size ludicrously small (anythig under 1000 is statistically insignificant), but the figure is meaningless as the percentage quoted is only people who believe what they've been told/sold.

Another day another terrible ad - Vicks First Defence where the mother throws a hissy-fit in the supermarket :gag:
Paul

Easy - turn off the tv and you don't have to watch any of them :exit:

One I love/hate is not so much an ad in itself, but a phrase I notice more & more adverts using - it usually goes something like

"our blah blah is fab" then ends "Nothing is better!"

If 'nothing' is better, then why buy the product?

I think the worst adverts are for women's shampoo. Not happy with 'It cleans your hair', they have to come out with something like...

Pantene Pro-vitamin B with enriched uranium isotopes with a half life of 15,000 years and enhancing colouring extracts. :cuckoo:

The one advert I really hate is the one where the woman says she had cancer and is now cured because she`s in a certain health plan.

isn't thay one trying to raise money for cancer research?

The washing conditioner ad with the woman who can't find anything better to wear than her husbands shirt. She ain't that good looking and struts around as if to say look at me. That add really winds me up.

The Nationwide ads wind me up. They are just as bad as the "bank" they are saying they are better than. I banked with Nationwide for years until 6 years ago, now I'd never go anyway near them.
