Hi guys

Its a long time since I have been on here, but hoping for a bit of advice and some food for thought.

Over the past 2 years I have been travelling by bike in various locations across the world, currently riding the length of South America.

Over that time I have been pushing my photography, and would say its settled in the realms of adventure/documentary style photography.

Having recently received a long overdue tax rebate I am considering investing the money, but rather than put it straight in to equipment I was hoping to find a course or workshop where I could get some critique and perhaps some theoretical pointers.

I'd really appreciate any thoughts on courses, or potentially some photographers working in this area who may offer courses/workshops.

For the curious amongst you, my blog is: www.mikehowarth.co.uk

Thanks in advance

Mike

The main area for this sort of photographer in the market is The National Geographer,it might be worth your time picking as many copies of theses you can find, and having a look at the type of work in them, and then take it from their :)

wow, what an adventure, and some amazing photography there. If you want to invest the money, do it on plane tickets rather than kit, and go and do something else cool.

Have you seen Jake Stangel's cycling photos? he's done several long rides including the width of the US, I love his work http://jakestangel.com

Thanks for the feedback and kind comments.

Well the thought of another trip did cross my mind ;).

Lovely work from Jake Stangel, I will be sure to check out some more of his stuff. It could be a case of expanding my other photographers for inspiration, I certainly feel in a bit of a bubble at the moment.

And you will find they are very similar to those on your blog! I would get in touch with the RGS now and send them the link.
