Adobe photoshop elements 11

have been using elements 11 for some time and just log into photo editor . Just thought i'd look into organiser to see what it does ! Horrified to find it has stored in lots of folders copies of images I've edited abandoned etc - must be many many mega bytes of space this thing has gobbled and i'm not happy! how do I stop it keeping copies of things - ? These editing programs that gobble space are a pet hate and I thought elements 11 would not do this - I have never asked it to keep copies !

You could try checking in the save as box in 1&2 in this link. Other than that I have no idea sorry.

Surely they are not copies but links to original location of the Photos??

Is`nt that what an Organiser doe`s i.e. puts (collects) all the Photo links in one place so that you only have to look in it to find a specific Photo, specially if you Tag it (Landscape, Mum, Macro etc)
but leaves the Photo in it Original Folder??

Check (in Organiser) the Properties of a Photo to see were it`s actually stored

I have always felt that PSE would be a better program if it had the option to instal it without the Organiser. I can organise perfectly well without that bloat.
