Well i have had photoshop 5.5 on my computer for years and thought it was a genuine copy not that i used it much as it's far to complicated for me but a couple of days ago i started getting a message

Adobe has identified your software as not genuine

So i have taken it off by uninstalling it yet still get the same message .
Any one know how to get rid of the popup message .

Rob.

It appears that Adobe put a programme on my computer without me knowing and you have to uninstall that as well .

Think I'm sorted out now - It just shows how vulnerable our computers are even when you think your PS is the real deal .
for me it's no loss as i did not use it and would never pay monthly for some software.

It's annoying that some stuff is so resistant to being deleted. There are sometimes dedicated tools you can Google your way to to remove the stuff that cling on no matter what.

I had similar things happen when I had CS3 and tried to deactivate it on one pc install it on a new pc. Adobe were nothing less than obstructive and I gave up and bought CS5 but next time I might just try and avoid them altogether.
