I have a few swf files that need flash to run, I have installed adobe flash on the pc but it does not open the programs I have to select interent explorer to get the files to work, I noticed that in th control panel in programs there is a cross next to the flash program can anyone advise???

An SWF file is the exported movie and only needs the freely downloadable Flash Player to run - which is why the files open in IE. You can't edit an SWF file, think of it as a single layer JPEG created from a multi-layered PSD file.

Flash would be needed for the FLA files which are the 'original' movies that could be edited if needed.

As for the cross in Control Panel, I've got no idea I'm afriad!
 
No worries so it's all ok to view them using IE ??

That's all I want to do is view they are some tutorials on using CS2.
 
Try this:

It allows you to play the tutorials outside of IE and it's got transport controls and a timeline so you'll have more control over the movie.

I've never used it, I just found it via Google, so I'd read through the web page before you download and install it.
