Adobe flash player problems

My flash player was working last week but it has now stopped.
I have downloaded the update version from the Adobe site and it says installed ok. But it still wont work, I get a message saying install flash and active X when I go to some web sites. I know a few people who are having the same problem can any one out there help.

Yeah got the same problem recently. I take it you are using a PC? Uninstall the flash player using Control Panel & Add/Remove Programs etc. Then install from Adobe site again. Probably just a registry key or something getting corrupted.
