Just had an Email saying Adobe have just announced Adobe Elements 15 if anyone missed it

All I wanted was the haze remover in E14. The new E15 is not worth the upgrade to spend another nearly £100 on

I'd been keeping an eye open - going to treat father in law to new version, but am going to wait for a while to see if Amazon do their usual 1/2 price offer as they've previously done over the years - not in a rush as it's for birthday / Christmas. Going to look for any 14 offers as well, as I don't think he'll use some of the 'new' features 15 offers...certainly don't think he'd use the "turn a frown upside down" feature

I am distinctly underwhelmed. Still using Element 13 which was not really worth the upgrade from 12.

I never use the organiser part and never will so that part of all editions is a waste of HD space for me.

Does it (fully) support 16-bit images yet?

Elements is a bit like waiting for a bus – if you missed one there’ll be another one along soon.

I can’t help thinking that those people who keep spending ££’s updating Elements would have saved money by buying CS6 in the first place, and Elements still doesn’t do half what CS6 can.

Having gone from Elements 8 to the latest LR, I cannot ever see me needing PS again tbh.
I find LR sooo much nicer to use and it does all I need.

Still using albeit very rarely PSE 9, recently updated to LR6 from LR3 and use that for most things, can't see me ever buying a newer version of Elements.

I prefer to work with 16-bit images a far as possible.
Elements has very poor 16-bit support.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Mac UK Retail
by Adobe
£999.00new

That is the reason for using Elements ---- Cost
That's not the right price.
From Adobe it is (or was) £699.
I bought my copy from a discount on-line retailer for £320

How many people have paid £70+ several times to upgrade Elements to the latest version (which still doesn't properly support 16-bit images)?

Is Photoshop CS6 still being updated or is the Photoshop CC package the only way to get the latest version?

CS6 is no longer updated, although you can add newer versions of ACR.
As far as I'm concerned, and many other people have expressed the same opinion, CS6 far exceeds my editing abilities, and I'm unlikely to find anything I cannot do with it.
There is a wealth of information and tutorials out there which cover CS6 and from what I've seen, the "enhancements" available in CC are mostly shortcuts to things that can be done in CS6 anyway.
I think CS6 is a fully mature product, and the bells and whistles that are being added to the CC version are just there to keep people interested and justify the monthly payment.

Of course, if you don't have CS6 then CC is a pretty good deal at the current price.
My main concern about CC is, How much will the monthly rental fee be in 3 years time?

Still using PSE 12 and only upgraded to that from 2 because it was £30 rather than full retail a few years back. Barely scrape the surface of PSE's capabilities let alone CS! Always shoot JPEG so don't need LR's converter/sliders.
