Yes
I use the photo downloader in Bridge CC to get images from my camera cards, but some setting has changed that I can't find!

Reviosly it would load the images in the order that I took them, and I would simply rename them, for example "image-001"

Now the images load in order: today's date, yesterday, day before, etc, and I can't find a setting to load them sorted in order that they were taken.

I upload all my images into a folder convention of Camera/Year/subfolder with meaningful name.

Any help would be appreciated, please.

Thanks.

Hi Steven, thanks for the reply but that is not an option in the photo downloader.

I can import the images first using photo downloader, then sort by shot date/time, and rename in that order when sorted, but previously I was able to simply download the card and they would be in the correct order.

I'm not really understanding the difference....
The order they appear in bridge after download is based on the "sort" selection... nothing else. If you are in filmstrip mode there is a "sort by" selection in the upper rt corner. That selection remembers what you chose previously when bridge opens the next time.

Previously I could download and rename the images in one go, in shot order, numbered from the oldest picture I took through to the last picture I took, already sorted and named "image 001, image 002".

Now they download image_(newest date, earliest time), image_(newest date, second earliest time), etc.

I know how to download all the images, sort them as required, then rename them in sequence, but previously it was such a simple one-part job.
