Evening everyone, hope you've all had a good weekend.

I remember a while ago when using Adobe Camera Raw that when something was too over-exposed it would show up red. This is no longer the case as I noticed today.

I'm sure it's just a setting somewhere that needs re-checking. However I can't find it for the life of me.

Grateful if someone could shed some light on this as it was quite a useful tool, especially for me as my Acer laptop's LCD isn't that great.

It's the arrow to the top right of the histogram, as below

When you look at the histogram in ACR, you'll see two traingles. One in the top left and one in the top right. If you click on the one in the top right, it will switch on the highlight clipping warning. This will show red in the picture. The one on the left is the shadow warning. It will show blue.

If you don't want them on permanently just moving the mouse cursor over them will show the clipping areas in either shadow or highlight.
 
if it's like Photoshop then if you hold ALT while changing exposure (or black) then the over (under) exposed parts will show up as red (blue)
