Yes just like that! Is it me of does there look like a darker rectangle in the top right hand side of the one you have edited?

Could you run though how you done that?

Anything else you think needs changing?

The dark rectangle was in the original shot but the work I did seems to have elongated it.

I cropped the original and turned it so that the horizon was level. Then cropped to get the biggest shot possible.

I then increased the canvas size on the height only.

I then used a rectangular marquee to select what sky I could. Then used free transform to stretch it. Next job was to deselect the selection.

Final bit was to crop the shot again to take off the extra bit on the bottom.

There are easier ways to do it but this way was fairly quick.

That would be my workflow also and as you have I think a bit of curves

Yer didnt notice the rectangle actually in my one I posted. Will edit that out.

Woudl you be able to go into abit more depth on how you got it horizontal?

Drag the crop out to cover the whole shot. Then position your mouse pointer just outside any of the corners .... The pointer will change to two arrows.

Now just drag the arrow and photo to the position that looks horizontal .... Then double left click to confirm ... Then just crop as big as you can.

Can you not Ctrl T then rotate it? I thought you got PS to alter it automatically to get it horizontal

How would you finish the image off if you where to print it off?

Thats the thing about Photoshop ... A hundred ways to do the same job .. :D

Try a slight sharpen and a bit of a play around with curves.

Possibly add a simple border.

Hmmm, not used either of those tools :o

Where would I find them?

Yeah was thinking about a small white boarder with maybe a thinner black one over the top of that. I would like to bring out a bit more detail in the wooden pier if poss? As its too dark.
