Adam's TP52 2016 Weeks 10-14 added

Hello Adam, liking the tappets, used to love watching my mini rattling away. Nice dof. Good luck completing your 52.

Great Start mate, loving the contrast in the metal shot. The lighting suits it really well :)

I like the arrangment of the shoes, sort of symmetrical, sort of not - reflects the fact they're well worn.

The engine shot though, the combination of DOF and lighting... love it.

Hi Adam

OLD and METAL.....great shots and theme fitting to the core.
Captive.....Lovely vivid shot.
Not sure it entirely fills the theme, but I like it nonetheless.
It's a beautiful fish!

I had to look up the definition because initially I was thinking prisoner. The definition Google through at me was "A person who has been taken prisoner or an animal that has been confined." Hence the fish. If it doesn't fit I might have rethink.

Hi, captive is certainly on theme but the fish is a little lost in there could do with being a little closer

Honestly, I've been looking at this thinking "but how is the coral holding the fish captive?" I should probably try to get more sleep. Anyway, now that I realise that th fish is being held captive by you it makes more sense.

Three very nice images

Old - nice interpretation and capture (not much else to say)

Metal - my fave of the three and love the DOF and contrast

Captive - again a nice interpretation but (and it may be my monitor and / or my eyes) it too me a short time to find the fish - or perhaps that was the intention .........

three nice images and a good start to your 52 !

Hi Adam

Enjoyed veiwing your images so far. Metal being a favourite love the light on it dof & pov.

Gaz

Metal, great idea using a cylinder head
Captive, lovely looking Manderine well taken as they are not the easiest subjects, especially through glass and salt water

Adam Hi, really like the clours you have captured and the fish and tank are a good idea for the theme.

Morning, Old, nice detail and subtle shadows. Might work well as a B&W.

Metal, Nice shallow dof and detail.

Captive, not your strongest. Looks quite blue and not as good a link to the theme as the others, but I guess it is captive.

Cheers.

Hi Adam. Welcome to TP52 - hope you enjoy. Great start - love #1 for Old - nice washed out colour to go with the subject with the worn look coming through. Colourful for Captive and a different take. Great ideas both of them.

3 great pictures I love the colours of your captive fish

Hi Adam :)

Quick catch up from me.. .

Old - Nice subject for the theme, nice clean image, well lit too with good shadows, liking the colours too :)

Metal - Great idea, love the lighting again, DoF also very effective, like it

Captive - Your weakest image so far for me, sorry, not so obvious a focal point this time but that is probably just me, but fits the theme well :)

Miniature - Ahhhh sweet, great idea, glad you put the larger bottle in the background, the surface compliments the image well, and yet again liking the lighting :)

Great start to your 52... looking forward to the next 47 shots :D

Good picture - the colour's great against a well-chosen backdrop and the DOF's spot-on. I like the inclusion of the larger bottle too (partly becase of context and scale but mostly beacuse I don't understand the point of making such a small bottle of Amaretto).

Captive, nice mandarin fish, photo probably doesn't do that wonderful fish justice, I would have done a fish tank shot like you if I still had my tank

Miniature, like it, especially with its big brother in the background

Hi Adam,
Looks good to me, as others have said it's good to have scale in the shot and the use of a shallow DoF works nicely.
I quite like the odd light patterns that have been cast too.

Like the warm colours, light / shadows cast, DoF and the larger bottle in shot. Good effort :)

Love the layout, focus & lightning of this one Adam - well done. Something I would never be able to replicate (as any Disaronno bottle I had would likely be an empty one) o_O

Catching up with your earlier ones, as well as this weeks miniature.

Old - Nice clean image with a good subject for the theme.
Metal - Really like this shot, the mix of subject, lighting and DOF make a really nice shot.
Captive - Could have done with the fish being a bit more prominent but works for the theme
Miniature - A lovely shot. Liking the warm colours and the light through the bottle and the light patterns on the table.

Hi Adam. Nice composition with the scale contrast in evidence. Lighting is spot on with minimal glaring white reflected off the bottle - like the shadow cast on that textured surface too.

Hi, I've mentioned elsewhere that I'd like photographs to be a little warmer, and this works for me.

I'd like the larger bottle to be more prominent. Never tried this drink :)

Cheers.

Nice use of the larger bottle to add scale, I like the use of natural wood for the background :)

Great compostion for Miniature as the full size bottle fives it a sense of scale. Well lit and lovely warm colours (y)
