Actuations

Such as 'john' who has a shutter still alive after 2'000'000 clicks on a 30D :( Hadn't heard of the site, so thanks Darius.

While its a good idea I think the dead figures are probably more useful than the alive ones. Also far less likely to be fake in some cases. 8.3 million clicks on a 1Ds3....

I'm no mathematician but a bit of guesstimating says to me that 8.3 million clicks on a 1Ds3 (which is relatively "new") would be very hard to rack up.

Assuming a 2 year old camera, you'd pretty much have to have held the shutter button down firing at full pelt for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week since new to reach that figure.....

7174 acts per day if you take it that the camera was bought on the earliest release day (30th Nov 2007) up until today. That's some going!

I know the best advice to learn, is to keep taking pictures, but that's just overdoing it :)
