action to merge 2 images together?

Hi all,

I am looking to create a single image, from 2, for example a portrait, with a football team next to it. Nothing fancy, just side by side. The team remains the same obviously for many of them, and the portraits are changed each time.

Is there a way of setting an action or maybe a script (new to me) to semi-automate this task?

If you're using photoshop you can record what you do as an action then when you want to do the same thing again just run the action...

Yeah Edsport is right, if Photoshop is the editor you're using then you can create an action (i,e, record exactly what you are doing) and then run it on whatever photos you want.

You have to be a bit careful because it is essentially a macro and so will just repeat your steps to the letter. But it sounds as if this is what you are after.

You can go here to see a little tutorial - should be pretty much version independent as it's not changed much in recent versions of PS.

If you're using another editor I would imagine (but can't confirm) that they would have a similar feature!
