Help please, I am trying to recover my laptop. When I purchased it I tried over several weeks to make a re-boot disc, it never let me.
Laptop refused to load the other day, I posted thinking it was HDD failure. I then did some research and tried the F10 acer reboot option, this just takes me to a screen that says 'wait a moment' .. the moment has been hours and it just hangs. Once it did say recover C drive and loose data, I panicked and did not take that option, now it is not giving it to me.
So, I am happy to do a complete fresh install, however, F2 gives me the command to boot from HHD, CD etc .. and I take it to boot from CD (Windows disc in drive ready) .. F10 to save command and exit and at this point acer takes over again and tried to do the HDD acer recover
How can I stop acer having control and get it to boot from CD ... this really has me close to launching lappy
