Acer all in one ?

Hi All,

Does anybody have any experience of http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/acer-aspire-z3731-desktop-pc-with-21-5-monitor-07677474-pdt.html

In need of a new pc as my 5yr old laptop is starting to struggle:shake: I'm pretty sure the Acer is capable of happily running elements or PSP as well as creating DVD's etc but I just wondered about reliability. It does have some good reviews but thought I'd ask here just in case anybody has one.

I've no direct experience of this model. Is there a reason that you want an all-in-one? For the same price, you could get a pretty good setup upon which you could build as and when necessary.

Acers seem to be hit and miss in terms of reliability - some last seemingly for ages and others are problematic from very early on.

Looks like a good deal, Acers are generally pretty good. Get an extended warranty from acer if your worried. We used to be an acer partner but I didn't deal with the workstations much but the guys at work quite liked them.

Or just count of the fact you are legally covered for up to 6 years on expensive items.

I have got one. And it is ok. It runs all the photo editing programs. And has not given me any trouble

if getting Acer, make sure you get extended warranty....

Previous point applies. Extended warranties don't matter, you are covered under the sale of goods act. Also, acer is no more unreliable than any other computer manufacturer.
