hi all,

got a question i'm hoping you informed bodies can help me with. I'm off on honeymoon to the south west of france in mid august........

i've got the D3100, kit lens and a wired remote release, but i'll obviously need a few accessories. Does anyone know if this is a decent camera bag for it

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Case-Logic-...UTF8&coliid=I22D8LIDPT8AXJ&colid=6KFSRYIUNNEH

and can anyone point me in the direction of a small portable tripod, i've seen the gorilla pod thingies online but i'm pretty virginal to all this, so don't know if they are any good.

cheers

John

So what accessories are you needing to put in the bag other than the remote release? Nudge nudge, wink wink. I'm getting the impression that you will be concentrating on indoor photography - have you considered a flash?

I can understand your virginal angst regarding third leg performance but don't worry too much - close-up with a standard length lens shouldn't be too demanding in respect of tripod performance.

WOT.....Photography on your honeymoon.

Leave all the camera 'gear' and home and spend the money on a good compact, that's all you need.

Enjoy your honeymoon and give your new bride 110% of your time and attention and not with your head stuck in a camera bag.

After 50 years of marriage it's the spouse that's important not the phoyography, you can snap away any time.

Just my 2p's worth.......but I'm an old school romantic.

Youngsters of today....?????.... mumble, mumble, mumble

:lol::lol: To be honest- I agree 100% with Dave- get a decent compact forget togging, earn some well needed brownie points for new gear purchases ,AFTER the honeymoon :D

Enjoy your trip

Ok folks, sorry for the delayed 'thanks' ;-)

All points duly noted. However because of the areas we are visiting I'd actually prefer to have the trusted D3100 with me.

Ps. The mankini is already ordered and as for Viagra well lets just say I ain't got no need for that ;-)
