A recently sold my first framed prints to a client through my zenfolio website; the lab I'm partnered with is One Vision Imaging.

One of the prints is quite large (16" x 16"), and typically it is of a shot that I had to crop. The PPI will be 205; now most labs say that 300 PPI is optimum, has anyone any experience of printing at 205 PPI? Will there be any noticeable difference in quality? As you can imagine I want it to be perfect for them.

My D600 is 24 megapixels, I have say I had assumed that I would not have to worry about print resolutions. God knows how people managed with 10 megapixels in the past!!

Thanks!

It will be completely fine. I've printed much larger on a 550D at around 170ppi and it looks great on my wall.

As Ben says, It will be perfectly fine. Larger prints don't need to be set so high due in part to the distance they are viewed at.

Smugmug's resolution page shows they will print any image at a lowest image resolution of around 100ppi - So your settings would give a size in excess of 30" at good quality ;)
