AB Cameras Ltd

Hello folks,

Came across this company AB Cameras ltd recently. Anyone dealt with them?

It is modelled on something similar to MPB but on closer examination there are a number of alarm bells:

ON first inspection, thought out website with detailed product descriptions and mainly market ish prices apart from ridiculously cheap RF extenders.

Claim to have traded as AB Cameras Ltd for 6 years yet AB Cameras ltd from Worthing was dissolved in companies house 2016.
Videos consist of a random lady reviewing a Canon camera no mention of AB cameras other than watermark on the video..
All the other videos on how to trade your camera gear does not mention any company name and the form it says to fill in doesn’t exist, you just have to ring a fella called Sam who wont give his surname and doesn’t answer mentioning AB Cameras at all..
The only address in London is shared by another 26 different businesses.

Before accusing them of outright fraud, I thought I would see if anyone on here had dealt with them.

The address is a serviced office in Hammersmith - Dassault (French manufacturer of fighter jets) and Opodo (cheap holidays) are also in the same building.

No company registration details on the web site is in breach of the Companies Act 2006 as amended by s1 of the The Companies (Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2008; Company Registration Number, Registered Address and Place of Registration (e.g. England) must be displayed.

Using the name of a defunct company is, er, surprising.

I would not be sending them either my money or my gear.

P.S. not that it means so much these days, but a whois lookup on their domain doesn't pass validation by Nominet

Yes I bought a camera from there and never received it. Lost 2500 pounds! Does anyone know of a website called gear clix ? Can anyone help? Are they legit? Seems very cheap?
