I've been looking at these printers as Canon have £50 cash back on the 9000 and £100 on the 9500

I found a website with both in stock and a comparison chart, apart from the 9500 having 10 inks V 8 in the 9000 I can't see much different in the specs, the 9000 works out at £270 and the 9500 £370 after cash back

Is it worth the extra £100 for the 9500

I have the 9500 and am well impressed with it, the 9500 is a pigment ink printer and the 9000 is dye ink.
I have a friend who has a 9000 and it appears to be a little bit faster than the 9500 but I paid the extra and don't regret it.
Also the 9500 is also suposedly better than the 9000 for B&W although I have yet to try it for myself.

Big difference between 9000 and 9500 is that the 9500 is a pigment printer, while the 9000 is a dye based printer. Pigment prints should last longer in use, and are less prone to water (with the right paper).

Keep in mind that there have beem mark II versions of both of these printers anounced recently which are 14 inches wide (instead of 13 inches of the current versions.

Thanks, that's probably why there's £100 off until 30th April , the new ones are on a boat that docks 1st May ;)
