Hi all,
Is there any way of showing what a picture would look like when printed at A3 size or larger? I'm interested in getting some prints done but not sure if the shots will look ok at that sort of size. I know I can zoom in but how much by?

Thanks.

You can go full screen on your monitor ctrl shift f, or ctrl alt f, can't remember which, but it removes all surrounding bars. You can then use l to change the background to grey and with another press black

Thanks Byker,
Had a look at that but what I'm really after is how much I need to zoom in to see what the shot would look like at a larger size. For instance, if I zoom in 100% would this show me the pixels as I would see them when printed at A3?
Sorry if I'm not explaining it too well.

No.
A monitor will display based on 72 to 96 dpi whereas you will likely print at between 240 and 360 dpi.
That is a very much dumbed down rule of thumb explanation. No offence meant just trying to make it more understandable.
Google will also help a lot if you have the time.

i'd stop worrying

as long as you have over 6mp, and your shot is focused and sharp you have enough to fill an a3 page

if it looks good at 100%, it will look good at any size
stop fretting

Many thanks guys. I think I will get a couple of prints done and see how they go.
