A200 OR A300?

Hi all, went into jessops today looking to buy my first dslr,a sonyA200, this was out of stock till mid week , while i was in there i saw they had a sony a300 at £349. i have been looking at many reviews of different cameras and have come across the a350 but not the a300, is this a old model? and is it a better buy than the 200 for an extra £50, hope someone can give me some advice thanks.

The A300 is basically the A200 with Live View and a smaller viewfinder (because of Live View). It IS a current model, it sits right between A200 and A350.

I have a200 and have no gripes whatsoever I never wish I could have whatever features the 300/350 have because its a great camera

get the a200 and use the money you save to but your self another lens!

It's my first DSLR too, and it's relativly easy to get to grips with, the white balances are good and a few of the preset styles are cool, the built in Black and white is great

The A300 is only stocked in Jessops as fair as I am aware, they have an arrangement with Sony.
