It's that time of year to reflect on the year gone, and as a dull man who is excited by data and analytics, I was looking through my 2024 CaptureOne catalog by lens. It surprised me the variety of lenses I've used in 2024 so given it's that time of year to reflect, I thought I'd share.
A few callouts:
1. The 300, 400 and 600 primes would get more use if they were mine, but alas, part of an afternoon with Sony and London Camera Exchange.
2. The Batis and Sigma 85s were a surprise - I was at a wedding as a guest and got on well with the hired togs. One of them offered to take some snaps on my camera of my wife and I, and I'd forgotten they switched to their lenses.
3. Macro focus stacking produces a lot of shots on that 90mm macro
4. On my full spectrum A7R my Tamron 28-200 and 50-400 are recorded differently to A9 and A1 (where they also include the lens ID on the end)
