A walk with the FM2

Nice shots; especially like the second one with the cat, something very off-hand about it.

Not a Nikon camera I have owned (the FM2), but from a golden era of Nikon manual focus cameras for sure.

I particularly like the first and second shots. I haven't owned the FM2 either, but I do have an FM and it's stalwart. The original F cameras were wonderful, but I started losing interest with the F3 and it's damned new fangled electronics!

Really like number 2, that cat is interested in the Beonica! What film was it?

Thanks for the comments, guys. The film was ilford xp2, :) i ALSO have the FM but it's broke. Ha.

i love number 2 as well, shame about the black fuzz at the bottom (I think its my dressing gown)

nice shots and also talking of a lens I would like to maybe get a 100mm similar.

The 105mm f/2.5 really is an incredible lens, one of the Nikon greats.

I'd like one too but they ain't cheap and at boot sales over three years have never seen this lens h'mm you don't see Contax, leica etc as well :'(
Mind you I could have picked up a Nikon AIS 24mm f2.8 for £35 a few years back, but stupidly thought it was too expensive :bang:

IIRC the only change in the optical design of the 105mm F2.5 was back in the pre AI days. Sonnar to Gauss I think. (It may have been the other way round & I can't remember exactly what the difference is)

As Nikon built in lens hoods go I don't think much of the 105mm F2.5 AIS one & got a HS-8 lens hood to use with mine. I wouldn't see it as much of a selling point for getting an AIS one over an AI one.
