Hello All!

I've become incredibly confused with all this Micro four thirds nonsense and feel like i should give up and go for a Canon! :bonk:

I currently own a Panasonic GH1 with a 100-300mm (600mm 35mm Equivalent)
Does this mean, if was to own a Canon camera with a 600mm Lens.. it would be the same?

It just feels my 300mm aka 600mm dosn't have the push i need to have to get my Photo's. (if your wondering, i'm a Wildlife photographer... with a Panasonic .. )

Can you help?

And is there any other lenses which would have all features working (Auto Focus) that would work with the GH1 that are 300mm?

I Already know of the four thirds 150-500mm Sigma.. which is impossible to grab a hold of.. and if i did find it, i'll snap it up!

Thanks kindly for your help!

Alex

4/3's have crop factor of x2 so, as you say, 100-300mm = 200-600mm in 35mm terms.
APS-C crop factor is x1.6 so 100-300 = 160-480mm.

As for the rest of it, I'm not really sure what other options you have. Is there any 400mm options available or do panasonic not do teleconverters? I remember looking through their product guide after I got my GF-1 and it rings a bell i think.
