From the title you will know why I can't find what I'm looking for.

I'm after a pole with an attachment to hold 1 or more flashes. I have no idea what they are called (but googling pole flash gave wrong result!) so can't find them.

As a side question, can1 trigger fire more then 1 flash in TTL mode?

Thanks

Your description is still a bit vague, why a pole?

Usually we start with a flash stand, but they're designed for studio heads and meant for use indoors.

To use flashguns on it you'll need a bracket (flash heads have a pivot point, flashguns don't)

If you want more than one flash mounted (to increase power) you'll need different brackets or these

If you want the light to look nice, you'll need a softbox or umbrella

Depending on your flashguns and triggers, there are many ways of firing multiple flashes.

What are you trying to achieve?

You can use one of the above brackets on a monopod if you want portability and have a patient helper.

Hi Phil,

You might have guessed that this is a follow on from my last flash question you helped me with. I managed to get out today in the bright sunshine and realised I couldn't get enough power from my SB900 to over power ambient light at the distance I would require for my down hill bike shoot.

I watched this video
which shows four flashes on a bracket attached to a pole.

its this bracket I was after and some how of attaching it to a pole. I hadn't thought about a monopod and was thinking about using my camping flag pole (adapted roach pole & ground spike).

This flash stuff is a steep learning curve as met is 7 March.

You have to realise how much darker than 'bright sunshine' a forest is. 1 speedlight might cope well in a mature forest on a typical March day.

It's your home made pole that's a limiting factor, google a bracket for 4 flash guns, you'll see they're available, but will be made to attach to a standard flash stand (spigot). You can easily buy converters for monopods/tripods to flash spigot.

But you need to work out how to attach a spigot to your home made pole.

Do you have a tripod? It's possibly easier and more stable than your pole, and easier to utilise.
