A not so little bit of British photographic history

linky not working Nick ....well, not for me anyway:confused::(

I seen that a few weeks ago and he was looking for over 1k for it!

It's is a bit of history, although I wonder why he is selling it given the article about him says it is a treasured possession?

Well it wont help you take better photos compared to a cheaper one, but I suppose a collector might be interested.

I remember a few years ago an Ebony was on sale on ebay that had been used by Joe Cornish and the generally comments seemed to be along the lines well if its been used by a pro it has been really used.

Who knows what this will go for but I doubt it will be as much as they are hoping for.

Looks like it sold for a slight premium.

I didn't check specifically, just checking what an RB is going for at the moment.

I saw this as I was looking for searches with RB67 and 50mm lens.
There is quite a few goodies with it so not a bad price the 50mm on its own in good condition is £120+ and its the better ProSD film holders which are great as they have no foam light seals.

Good programme on TV last night about photography in WW1...well it could explain why the German photography industry took off after. Up to 1915 British soldiers could take their cameras and take shots, but from 1915 it was banned and if caught with a camera would be a court martial.....on the German side, photography was encouraged.
h'mm the beginnings of a nanny state UK? esp when the UK government thought the population in about 1920s would revolt after the Russian revolution and that was the beginning of gun control....ok off topic but thought I'd add it in

Thanks Brian. I didn't see the program last night but I'll certainly check it out.

Back on topic, the camera went for £520 in the end, not bad for a 3 lens set up with provenance from Fay herself.
