Warner Bros Discovery and BT have announced a new 50/50 joint venture for the U.K. and Ireland that combines Eurosport and BT Sport.
That’s a smart move.
They have announced that to start with both brands will exist together before combining under a new brand.
I’ll be sad to see the Eurosport name go (if it does).

It is though, it’s included in the entertainment pack. It’s not a free channel which is why it’s not on Freeview or Freesat.

Didn't know that, I've had Sky for over 25 years, so just used to it being there. They cover a lot of bike racing which is always good to watch. I gave up with BT Sport, it was too expensive for what I got out of it.

I'll be watching closely as I have BT Sport and use the Now Sport option as well to get Eurosport and Sky F1.

It'll be a loss if Eurosport incur an extra charge after this combining although then the standard package should go down if they leave? I doubt it though.

Also good news... Channel4 will show all England games broadcast, free-to-air TV, for the first time since 2018. The deal includes UEFA Nations League, UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers and friendlies.

There is no free Sky bit. Eurosport is part of a paid subscription.

It has been announced that from July BT Sport will be rebranded TNT Sports. After the 2024 Olympics, Eurosport (in the U.K.) will change its name to TNT Sports too.

Eurosport May be part of my Sky package but what’ll happen after the merger? Don’t have BT sport and have no intention of starting to pay for another lot that cover only a very small amount I’d watch.
