Hi, with a nice bonus from work I want to buy a new lens for landscape work primary. All I have is kit lens, 35mm and 55-300 lens.
I have the lovely Nikon 3100 and looking to spend £300-£400 max.
What's a good step up for landscape photography
Thanks in advance

Sigma 10-20 is a decent wee buy.

Agree with Brash Sigma 10-20 is a nice lens, I had the Canon version. Before proper input though it would be useful to know what other lenses are in your bag as landscape work isn't all about wide angle.

Thanks brash, only trouble doesn't auto focus on my model. Not really a problem I know just will need to get used to it. Think I can pick one up fairly cheap around the £260 mark

Thanks Andy, like I said have kit Lens 18-55 a zoom to cover 55-300 and a lovely piece of equipment the 35mm 1.8 cheap as chips. The kit lens is good as a start and underrated but need to progress. I don't want to spend money for the sake of buying something that will just gather dust.

Tokina 11-16 f2.8 - believe the later version will AF on the 3100 :)

The 10-20 should AF on a D3x00 series as I had one that AFed on a D40 - I think they all had the hsm motor built in? The tokina 11-16 is also fantastic.

you could get a nikon 10 24 used for that money. quite liked mine, and appreciated the wider range;

Thanks for the advice and comments stuck to the sigma 10-20 and at £260 new can't believe the quality
