Morning,

I'm looking around Amazon for my first flash to go with my D7000.

The Nikon ones are pretty expensive and I have no idea what all of the information in the specification means!

I would like the option of have the flash separate from the camera to get some decent shadow/lighting effects.

I've searched for the Jessops 360 flash but that doesn't look quite as good as a Yongnuo. Please could anyone help me out a little here?

I know I need a TTL for my first flash from reading old threads.

Thanks

Will

Been a lot of threads on speedlights on here recently.

The Yongnuo's are well rated and have versions that will offer TTL. The best of theirs seems to be the 568. However they come in at around the same sort of money as a used Nikon SB-600 i.e around £120.00.

There can be plenty of bargains around on used gear. I saw an SB-900 for sale in the classifieds here for £150.

I debated last week on the Yongnuo's myself but ended up picking up an SB-800 locally instead.

Thanks for the reply. Sadly I can't view the classified ads section yet.

I'll have a hunt around on eBay for an SB-600.
