A liitle help with an albelli photo book

I'm just finishing off a photo book with albelli and i'm wondering whether or not to get the high gloss finish. I'm not worried about cost (at 15p per page), just wondering if the book will seem a little too much...any thoughts on your experience would be great.

Also a couple of pages are showing a gray background despite having black selected, anyone else have this problem?

Worked out the background issue - it was 50% transparent. Must have accidentally clicked it

Had their gloss finish before and didn't like it. Its not printed on gloss paper its just their standard paper with a gloss film applied.
