Ahoy 'togs.

I've not been around here for a long time, mainly due to me not taking photos for quite a while, and having been out of a job for an ever increasingly long time, I'm looking back to my own real output of creativity to guide me.

My only question:

Is it possible to make more than £50 per week (cookie to whoever knows where that figure comes through) consistently without loss?

Thanks guys and gals,
Jack

I'm not totally sure of your question but this may be better in talk business.

The sheer number of variables makes this question impossible to truly answer.

Is it possible to make more than 50 pounds per week consistently, from landscape photography alone, yes. But it's not really that sort of work. If, and its a very strong if, you managed to get a good income from landscape photography, it wouldn't really be in weekly installments of fifty quid.

Agreed, in any photographic discipline it's not a consistent wage, instead of weekly instalments of £50 you may go five weeks and then get £250, you just never know I'm afraid especially when it comes to landscape and nature.

Thanks for your answers, I'm just clutching at straws here as the situation is dire, any sort of reassurance that it may be at all possible is more than enough for me, I'll just have to work my socks off.

Pretty much yeah, i want to a to be out every single day either selling to shops + businesses or be out making new material.

You need to work out a definite plan for selling the prints, usually there's a big market for consumers. Take Wilkinsons for example, go in there and in the home décor section there's loads of canvasses with photos on that people pay for. It might be worth looking at markets in your town centre and see if you can get a regular spot there.

Don't try car boot sales as they are just not the correct market (I know because I've tried), also have a website in which people can purchase prints from and advertise the website on the market stall. go to local businesses like pubs, cafes, restaurants etc and see if they are interested in purchasing any of the pieces as well :)
