Having worked for the same company for over 20 years I am due a gift in recognition of this which I can choose from a brochure supplied by the company.

My dilemma is that the best DSLR in the catalogue is the Nikon D60 plus 18 – 55 kit lens.

In my film days I was always a Nikon person but since converting to DSLR from a compact a few years ago I have had a Canon 300D

Although the 300D is in need of an upgrade I am happy with the additional lenses I have purchased.

I do not know anything about Nikon DSLRs, is this a good model?

I only really need a camera for indoor studio work purposes.

Would should I do:-
• Take the Nikon and upgrade my lenses
• Take the Nikon sell it and upgrade my Canon body, if so what is it worth and to what Canon model should I upgrade to assuming I can make the difference up to £500?

You would probably be able to buy a 40D outright with the money you will make from the sale of the D90 kit. Alternatively you could add some funds and go for the 50D...

Sorry my typo it was a D60 with lens (wish it had been a D90)!
