Spring cleaning yesterday revealed a box in the loft which had 2 very out of date film. One was Kodak 200 colour, and the other was ORWO Panachromatic B/W.

I remember buying the ORWO in 2000 in Bombay; and then lost it. So it has travelled with me in various places in the world. A very badly printed label is stuck on it. No ISO rating, not even how many exposures. Must have been repackaged in India; I remember adverts of ORWO when I was young

Have to use it to see how it comes out. I'll rate it at 100 ISO, and develop with 20% extra time.

Would be interesting to see the results

In the 80s I used Orwochrome frequently. It was about £3.50 , process paid or 10p a slide. Grainier than other 100 ISO transparencies and very warm (yellow/brown) it had an old fashioned look but was quite attractive. The only Orwo B&W I recall was 100 ISO.

It was 10 p /slide in the 80s.

Its today : 4+8 = 12£ / 36 exposure = 30p/slide ( mounted) 30 years on. So slides have not gone any more expensive than the 80s, inspite of its demand falling by, may be ,90%. Not bad....
