I have been asked to help choose a digital camera for work (having used my DSLR at a few events people seem to think I am a photography expert!) and I must admit that I am not too clued up with the current compact market so I though I would ask here for some advice! I did have a search through previous threads but didn't find much really relevant recent suggestions.

Anyway, it is for people to use at various work events, so that means mostly people who will be pointing and shooting, and in a variety of conditions. I have been told that budget is a strict maximum of £150 and it must be new, no other real requirements. I am awaiting details on if there are certain retailers we have to use, but I have done some initial research and found the following models:

Fujifilm FinePix F600EXR
Panasonic Lumix LZ20 Bridge
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ19
Canon PowerShot SX220 HS

Any advice or feedback appreciated. Thanks!

i cant help with the camera but if thats £150 plus vat (i presume you can claim the vat back?)it should open up your options a bit

I have the Canon SX220 HS and apart from it being very compact I would not recommend it , Although it gets good reviews IMHO it is a very poor performer in anything but good light.
Out of the above I would personally go for the Fuji.
