I have been looking for a some boot laces and finally found some on the Go Outdoors website.

There was an extra 10% off to be had or so I thought.............but that code is actually to add their discount card to the basket for 10% off the next order, not the current order....................far from 100% transparent info....but that is not the cause of the rant :(

It is not possible to remove the Discount Card from the basket ~ the cookies are very persistent and of course I could "clear all my cookies" but then I would have to go through all the websites that are password ones like this TP forum to login again ~ grrrr!

PS I have since discovered that Go Outdoors is part of JD Sports!

PPS I was hoping that I could purchase as a guest but suspect that I would need to create an account to make a purchase :(

[/Rant]

There are browser extensions for removing cookies just from the current site, e.g.:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...orsite/lmfdblomdpkcniknaenceeogpgepocmm?hl=en
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/remove-cookies-button-ver1x/

I've used such things before, but not these specific extensions. Often it's quite easy to identify specific cookies by name in your browser's standard list of cookies and delete them. You could also login via a different browser to see if the voucher is stored server-side (in which case that account may be stuck with it).

Thanks for the pointers..................on the hunt elsewhere for now ;)

Thanks, I did spot that site in my 'looking around' and interestingly they mention about laces have a slight bit of stretch........the laces I am replacing have a marked stretch ~ as in when I measure them 'at rest on the floor' they are about 10cm shorter than if I hold them gently pulled out (i.e. not tugging them) they are 137.5cm or 54inches.

Now I am working on the surmise that as when synching up & lacing the boots to be snug they are being pulled to their (just about?) max length i.e. 137cm so that is the length I should be buying???

Of note I have found on biglaces what appears to be a good match colours wise for old ones, though @ 140cm so close enough as I do double bow them anyway :D
