When I first saw the new post in the Out of Focus forum yesterday HERE truly I didnt know whether to laugh or cry.
In the end, I cried!
I was actually nearly speechless for almost...........well...........3 seconds!!
In the past year or so, I have become more and more dependent on these forums for lots of things, not just photographic.
Friendship being the most noteable.
I may come over as 'on top of the world' most of the time, but those who know me better, know there is a lot more on the 'dark side'!!
Making friends with you all, and spending time with you on here, has actually been very therapeutic.
My camera is another thing that is therapeutic, it gets me out and about, forgetting things. The thought of not having it for such a long time was awful.
I cannot thank enough all those of you who have donated your hard earned dosh to help me out here.... you have no idea how much it means to me.
Every single £1, and the thought behind it is something special.
I'd also like to thank those of you who offered the loan of your cameras, if Id have accepted them all, and I was a bit more dishonest, I could've run off and started a camera shop!!
I actually took Matt & Sue Charlton up on their offer, and am now borrowing Sue's 350d for the moment....cheers guys
For the emails I received with ideas and tips to maybe clean it off.
Robert for trying a little test on a normal glass filter with some jewellers polish to see if he would be able to polish the scratches out.
Unfortunately the test didnt work well, so Robert decided to not do it after all.
So thank you all, whoever the anonymous starters of this idea/thread were........please accept my gratitude.
But I couldnt finish without an innuendo or 2 now, could I..... or you'd think I was ill !!
Just be careful when cleaning your sensor. It isnt difficult, only if you are Janice!
You have to put your stick in the hole and move it up and down a few times..there will be white stuff on the end of course.
A few drops of a proprietary fluid can help things on their way!
Absolutely no problem!
Unless you are in a bit of a mood because things arent going your way, and you do other things that you arent supposed to, spitting perhaps!!
This will end in tears, so be prepared to swallow your pride and ask for help!!!
Thanks again,
Janice
