Blackpool graduate and Photographer Luke Stephenson made The Guardian's Art & Design pages with his new book 99 99s

Luke graduated in 2005 and has worked as a freelance photographer since. The same year he was awarded the Jerwood Photography Prize and in 2006 was selected as one of ten photographers to showcase their work at the International Festival of Fashion and Photography at Hyeres, France.

His work has been published in a variety of publications including The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, Dazed & Confused, Foam, Art Review and Wallpaper*.

The Photographers Gallery, London are responsible for his limited edition print sales.

I liked his earlier showbirds stuff too.

I have a signed copy of Incomplete Dictionary of Birds. Also a brilliant book. I prefer this though.

He captures British idiosyncrasy in all his work very well.
 
David, I hope some of the contributors to another thread in this section see this. :).

Talk about originality and following something through to the end.

Ex Blackpool, but not one of my students. I was working in London back then.
